Recently, I wanted to be able to dynamically load posts on my jekyll site. One way to achieve this is to generate the entirety of your site in json.
Below you find a list of all articles published on JekyllSnippets.com - this excludes external resources. They can be found under in link list.
When I started using jekyll, I could not figure out how to add classes to the current page's nav item. Wordpress does this automatically, and makes it easy for the user to know what page (s)he is on.
To exclude posts by category you can simply skip the category with an empty if statement like shown below:
